A MUSIC PARODY
BASED ON:
"LET IT BE"

BONUS QUOTE:
"When you think about it, attention deficit disorder makes a lot of sense, in this country there isn't a lot worth paying attention to."
GEORGE CARLIN

In "The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy" series' third book there's a term introduced that since has made household use far outside the context, originally S.E.P was there a piece of alien spaceship technology that allowed them to hide on the corner of Main Street in plain daylight: "An S.E.P is something we can't see, or don't see, or our brain doesn't let us see, because we think that it's somebody else's problem... The brain just edits it out, it's like a blind spot. If you look at it directly you won't see it unless you know precisely what it is. Your only hope is to catch it by surprise out of the corner of your eye. The technology involved in making something properly invisible is so mind-bogglingly complex that 999,999,999 times out of a billion it's simpler just to take the thing away and do without it... The 'Somebody Else's Problem field' is much simpler, more effective, and can be run for over a hundred years on a single torch battery. This is because it relies on people's natural predisposition not to see anything they don't want to, weren't expecting, or can't explain".

When I find myself in sight of spaceships
Eyes and brains will disagree
Catching fields of brain scram
S.E.P

And I'll accept the transgress
When one's parked there right in front of me
Spreading fields of brain scram
S.E.P

S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
Spreading fields of brain scram
S.E.P

And when time and space and logic ripples
Everyone around agrees
There is nothing there, sir
No Siree!

For years it may be parked there
On a single torch light battery
Running fields of brain scram
S.E.P

S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
A look-away-enhancer
S.E.P

S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
Spreading fields of brain scram
S.E.P

S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
Yeah, S.E.P
Spreading fields of brain scram
S.E.P

And if I'm gazing sturdy
There is still a naught that I can see
Brain is drilled to not know
S.E.P

I walk off and I'm suddenly quick
Legs and brains don't disagree
Forced by fields of brain scram
S.E.P

Yeah, S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
Yeah, S.E.P
A get-away-enhancer
S.E.P

S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
Yeah, S.E.P
Spreading fields of brain scram
S.E.P.

S.E.P
S.E.P
S.E.P
Yeah, S.E.P
Someone Else's Problem
S.E.P
