The horror! The horror! I wanted to shake my dying parody skills back to bone-rattling life for Halloween 2012 - so during the Night Shift I took my muse for The Long Walk to the Pet Cemetery, Salem's Lot and the Dead Zone. The results? I've already told you - plain horror!

When it is my time - I would rather be
Not near Stephen King - in the cemetery
Might be I'm a fan - of the things he write
But when six feet deep - in the midst of night

That is not for me!

Underscored screams - I want no part
Looking to stay clear
Caskets undone and shadow play
Partying with the dungeon keep'
Of all the places there's worldwide
Beyond his graveyard
When you're dead scared you'll understand
Bury me far from Stephen King

So here's my main(e) concern - when I'm put on ice
Want some death control - don't want no grave surprise
And should I go today - come hear my final plea
When disposing me - use some TNT!

Having my limbs blown miles apart
Might be the answer
But if I'm grounded in that way
There's still my soul, a garbage heap
There is a safe bet ghouls will try
Besting his graveyard
When you hang in the reapers hand
You want away from Stephen King

When I'm downstream of life and mort
I want the low gear
Don't want no zombie groundhog day
I want to stay at six feet deep
Find me a better place outside
Far from his graveyard
I am afraid I must withstand
Bury me far from Stephen King
