The adults swear © PETER ANDERSSON A MUSIC PARODY BASED ON: "THIS TIME OF YEAR" BY: MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES BONUS QUOTE: "The easiest way to doubt your own sanity is to look at your ex." CRAZY MYRA |
The beers, the hos, the knuckle fights The transgressed visitation rights All comes to blow on Christmas night The one night the family's gathered here It's Christmas and settling scores night Up and down the stairs The adults swear Us kids are hiding here In underneath the stairs together The family's packed, emotions fly Big sister's sacked a passer-by Out back the neighbour's terrified Kids of his all stand and window-stare That bugs Gramps, he's getting heart cramps Grandma doesn't care -It's just a flare! -I'll take the doobie, dear! They stay down on the floor together [POLICE SIRENS INTERLUDE] We hide in fear They'll take Pa and lecture our Ma -Ma'am, this time of year -You shouldn't swear! The words they get to hear Would cause a priest to flip forever The thing with Yule, they've closed the school We have to spend it with these fools And based on history as a rule Social service fear to come to near It's Christmas and settling scores night Up and down the stairs The Aunties swear The Uncles had affairs And now they're moving in together That bugs Gramps, with more of heart cramps Falling down the stairs And Grandma swears I'm glad the dogs are here Next Yule we best run off together! © Peter Andersson 2017 |
