I saw "Toy Story 3" the other night, it inspired me to write this song,
I think it captures the spirit of the movie pretty well.

You leave home during adolescent life
Your mother says "Now you're gonna store those toys, right?
Or they're outta here, they're not untrashable, son!"

But toys they wish you'd stay young
Your toys just wish you'd stay home

You box things for an attic reunite
Your sister says "Wow, this room be mine in some nights
When you're outta here, I cannot wait 'til you're gone"

But toys they wish you'd stay home
Your toys, just wish you could...
Be stalled, you really caaaan't
Stay yooooung...

When the years of play has gone
Your toys just wish you'd stay young
Your toys just wish you'd stay home

Toys, they want
You to stay young, boy
But you'll leave

Some toys take a downward turn
They're sorted away from the kids to get burned
I wanna think that mine had endings more fun

Your toys they wish you'd stay young
Your toys, just wish you could...
Be stalled, you really caaaan't
Stay hoooome...

When the years of play has gone
Your toys just wish you'd stay home
Your toys just wish you'd stay young

Toys, they want
You to stay young, boy
But you'll leave

They just want you
They just want you
They just want you
They just want you
Toys just wish you'd stay young
Toys just wish you'd stay home
They just want you
They just want you
They just want you
They just want you
Your toys just wish you'd stay home
Your toys just wish you'd stay young
When the years of
When the years of play has gone
When the years of play has gone
Oh, toys
Toys just wish you'd stay young...

THE SONG PLAYS OUT THIS WAY
FOR A LONG, LONG TIME...
